Welcome back to another season of the pool.  I'm starting it in August this year to get the interest built up so we can have some decent cash pools early in the season.  Be sure to tell your friends, family, and co-workers about it and get as many people as you want involved in the fun.  I'll start sending sheets out in the next couple of days and hopefully we'll have a lot of participation early.  If you have Microsoft Excel, you can go to the "downloads" page and get the first week sheet now and not have to wait for one to come your way.  If you want sheets by fax, please email me with your fax number and I'll put you on the weekly fax list.

I get quite a few entries every week that have missing picks. I always try to get in touch with people that make mistakes but it is very difficult and most times I cannot reach them. A few years ago I added a place to put a phone number in case this happens so I can get a correction from you, though I make no guarantee I will reach you in time. Please make sure when choosing your picks and before turning them in that they are complete and accurate. I hate to see entries with mistakes because it almost always eliminates the entry before the games even start. In fairness to all players I will not change them at any time after the games start so please make sure you turn in an accurate sheet. Thanks.

I've had some of our winners offer me a portion of the pool for running it and I have always turned it down.  It's a very nice gesture and I appreciate it but I do not take any money for running it, that would be illegal. I've discussed this with my pre-paid legal service and the pool falls under the Arizona law of "social gambling" ARS 13-3301. You can read the definition here, ARS 13-3301. So remember, if you win, the money is all yours and yours alone (except with multiple winners, shared between winners). I only do the pool to make the NFL season more interesting and to have some fun. No tip is necessary, thank you anyway.
